With pets who are older or have been given a terminal diagnosis we don't always have time to schedule photos far in advance and I respect that these sessions often need priority scheduling with little to no notice and may require me to come to your home or veterinarians clinic. I also understand that sometimes you get this news after you have spent thousands of dollars at the vet trying to help them hold on and may not be able to pay for portraits right away.
For these sessions, I will come & take the best photos I am able to provide of your pet at the end of their time with you for a small shooting fee of $50. This fee will include one watermarked digital image for social media use. I will then hold your photos for one year to allow you time to purchase any art you are interested in having made from these images with no added fees. Simply return when you are ready & I will gladly help you create a small album or wall art as you see fit.

Please note the variety in these sessions may be different than you are used to seeing in my work as they are tailored entirely to the dogs needs and energy level.

I waited years and years to find and adopt my dream breed. He came home and immediately became an inseparable part of my heart. Unfortunately, my heart broke before he even made it to a year old due to a surprise genetic defect. I have had other dogs along the way who I knew were approaching the end and I was able to savor every one of our last days together. I didn't get that with Toaster. His sudden loss left me feeling empty and guilty as I had been lazy about documenting his life "because I'm a photographer and I I'll just set up good pics for him soon" so I mostly have cell phone snaps of our time together. If only I had had a warning that he would be gone so soon I would have done things completely differently, but now I have the opportunity to pass my love for him onto your furry (or not) companions and each session helps heal my own heart a little more.

So don't be like me, just photograph them, or call me to photograph them, because forever is a long time and you will want every. single. memory you can get. At the end we all worry
"we wont want to remember them like that", but I assure you, you will. Take every single photo you can.
